8 Reasons why you should focus on YOURSELF:
1. Focusing on yourself gives you power and strength.
Focusing on yourself allows you to get to know YOU better. We tend to like people more when we truly know them. Knowledge is power!
2.Focusing on yourself leads to self compassion and understanding
We tend to have more compassion for people if we know and understand them. You don't judge when you understand.
3. Focusing on yourself will help you like yourself.
We need to be liked. If you like yourself you will be the one fulfilling your need! If you try to get people like you you'll come across as needy and as a people pleaser. Plus, you would put your happiness in someone else's control.
4. Focusing on yourself will make you more attractive to others.
You attract more people when you like yourself. No one wants needy friends, unless they are a people pleaser.
5. Focusing on yourself will give you confidence and inner stability.
You are not in the mercy of other people's behaviours and reactions. You take control of YOUR life.
6. Focusing on yourself leads to emotional maturity.
If you focus on yourself you learn things about you that you like and things that you like less. So you can change what you don't like and grow. You allow yourself emotional maturity.
7. Focusing on yourself will lead to happiness.
Getting to know yourself will allow you to know what you need and what you want. Being responsible for your own needs = happiness.
8. Focusing on yourself will lead to better and healthier relationships.
Accepting the responsibility of your own happiness, will remove the expectation from your partner. Also when you are happy, you radiate the happiness. Remember emotions are contagious!
