Eating healthy is a very important factor in our overall health and merits special attention. Healthy eating habits decrease chances of obesity, type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and even certain types of cancer and osteoporosis. By following a healthy life style, you can benefit from:

Tip: Eat 5 to 6 balanced meals a day
Experts recommend eating three meals a day and healthy snacks in between. Ideally, your meals should be well balanced by being divided in three sections:       

1) One half of the plate should be fruits and vegetables,
2)   One quarter of the plate should be grains and starches,
3)    And the remaining one quarter a source of protein. 
    
Examples of healthy snacks could be fruits, veggies, nuts, and yogurts.
